Barbara worked at OCN London for a number of years, developing qualifications, working with centres, moderating and training. She now combines delivering workshops for OCN London with teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) in East London, contributing to teacher development with an educational charity in Tanzania and working in photography projects in the UK voluntary sector.
Marcia is a professional trainer with 14 years’ experience in education, specialising in delivering teaching and assessment qualifications. Marcia has taught in further education, worked across higher education and worked with adult education providers. Her training skills draw upon her expertise with organisations who would like their internal training courses reviewed to add value and be fit for purpose. Marcia runs MAF Training, accredited by OCN London, which operates as a hub centre supporting smaller organisations to offer qualifications and bespoke courses. She has held management positions with awarding organisations and is the assessor for the OCN London Quality Mark.
Christine trained as a nurse and midwife. For many years she has been involved in nursing and midwifery training and lecturing in health and social care in higher education, specialising in mentorship, teaching and learning, CPD and study skills . At OCN London, she is a centre moderator, covering specialist subject areas that include management, leadership, training and mediation, adult education, mentoring, childcare, health and social care, community development and community interpreting. Her work also covers Access to HE and bridging courses.
Tamzie started her career in marketing management, spending 10 years in the financial services industry and a further two years in place marketing. In the late ‘nineties, following several years of sessional tutoring in a number of further education, she started lecturing full time. Since then, she has worked in a range of further education colleges, in higher education (where she still teaches on undergraduate and post-graduate marketing programmes) and in a secondary school, as Head of Business Studies. At OCN London, she is a centre moderation manager, covering specialist subject areas that include mediation, employment skills, management, leadership, training, drama, adult education and community interpreting. Her work also covers Access to HE, specialising in Business, Teacher Training and Tourism and Hospitality Diplomas.
