Available now for delivery and with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 72 hours, this flexible qualification is perfect for a summer term continuous professional development offer for teaching staff and education practitioners at a wide range of organisations including schools, colleges, adult and community education centres and a variety of other training providers.
In addition to providing professional growth for your staff, the qualification can also enhance teaching practices and inform policy at your organisation. Your learners can also share in the benefits as good practice can result in improved learner performance.
To gain the qualification, learners must complete a total of 9 credits. 6 of these credits will be achieved from the mandatory unit - Observing Teaching and Learning Practice where learners can discover the key techniques for preparing, evaluating and providing feedback for a teaching and learning observation session. The remaining 3 credits can be taken from either of the two optional units - Underpinning Knowledge and Skills of Observing Teaching and Learning or Understanding the Context of Observing Teaching and Learning (OTL).
