ACCESS TO HE DIPLOMA RESULTS – SUMMER 2020
Results for the Access to HE Diploma for learners who were entered into the extraordinary regulatory framework were released to providers on Monday 13 July. Learners will be informed of their final results by their provider.
What is the extraordinary regulatory framework?
Learners who planned to complete their Access to HE Diploma by 31 July 2020 received calculating grades for all remaining assessments with submissions dates after 20 March 2020. Further information about the calculated grades process and the extraordinary regulatory framework can be found on the QAA Access to HE website (link - https://www.accesstohe.ac.uk/news-events/support-and-information-covid-19).
What happens next?
An e-certificate will be generated for each learner and sent to the provider for distribution to learners. Learner results will be uploaded to UCAS by the end of July so that UCAS can make them available to higher education institutions in the first week of August.
UCAS has set up an advice page for learners on how their application will progress this summer: https://www.ucas.com/coronavirus
If a learner would like to change their university place or has not met their entry requirements, clearing is now open: https://www.ucas.com/clearing-launch
Can learners appeal their results?
An appeal could be made by a provider on behalf of a learner or by a learner directly following the appeals process. The deadline for making appeals was Monday 27 July 2020.
After reading the appeals process if a learner is unsure whether they have grounds for appeal, then they should speak with their provider.
