In recognition of the diverse needs of learners at Entry Level and primarily addressing those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, we have worked closely with colleagues in centres and other professionals to develop new qualifications with the learner at the heart. These qualifications have been designed to address their learners’ needs and help them to gain in confidence, develop independent living and work skills, and enable them to progress.
Many of our centres also use these qualifications with ESOL learners.
We monitor national and regional developments to ensure our qualifications address the policy priorities identified.
*OCNLR Entry Level qualifications in Independent Living and OCNLR Entry Level qualifications in Using Employability Skills will be withdrawn with effect from 31st July 2021 and learners registered on the qualifications before the operational end date will have until the certification end date of 31st July 2022 to complete their study and be certificated. Replacement qualifications – Entry Level Skills for Independence and Employability qualifications and Entry Level Entry to Employment qualifications – are now operational and offer a flexible, more broader alternative.
