The escalation in youth violence and gang culture is causing widespread concern amongst the public. Recently the Government introduced the Serious Violence Strategy in response to recent increases in knife crime, gun crime and homicide – a positive move.
The education sector has an important role to pay in addressing these issues. We have put together a package of mini-Awards under the themes of staying safe, managing conflict and developing emotional resilience. These can be offered as workshops or short courses at any time in the year, either individually or packaged together in a course about personal safety.
Funding has been approved for learners aged 14 and above from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
