Is this the right qualification for you?
The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Engineering) is a Level 3 qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university.
It is designed for:
- adults with a current or previous role or interest in an engineering related area;
- adults who, because of social, educational or individual circumstances, were unable to participate in or benefit from initial education;
- adults from groups under-represented in higher education;
- adults seeking a change of direction because of unemployment or lack of career opportunities in their previous field and who have a demonstrable interest in entering an engineering related profession.
Learners primarily progress to Higher Education study in areas related to Engineering. These may include some of the following areas of Degree level study: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sound Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics and Mathematics degrees. In addition, some colleges offer internal progression to, for example, their Higher National Diplomas in Engineering.

Where can you study this Access to HE Diploma?
Access to HE Diplomas are delivered by OCN London centres including Further Education Colleges, and Adult and Community Education Centres. The following centres are approved to deliver this qualification:
Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London
Westminster Kingsway College
