Pathways to Employment – Building & Construction

The construction sector accounts for 7.6% of GDP and employs over 2.3 million workers across the UK, including over 900,000 self-employed workers.

We offer a range of provision in this sector from Entry to Level 2. We offer entry points for learners who are thinking about a career in the sector as a first job or those who are returning to the labour market.

The qualifications and units included in the table below are fundable for eligible learners through the following source(s): Adult Skills, 16-19 EFA, Section 96 (Approved for 14-16s).

These qualifications are designed for people who are;

  • Looking to upskill or reskill
  • Looking for the opportunity of a fresh start
  • In employment and want to further develop their skills
  • Unemployed or facing redundancy
  • Without any previous qualifications or educational experience
  • Looking for either a full-time or a part-time course
  • Aged 14-19 and 19+

Build your qualifications package

Choose a short introductory award or a longer certificate sized course for learners.

We also offer a qualification in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment which fulfils the mandatory training requirements needed to gain the CSCS Green Labourer card (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).

If you want to give a specific group of units in a particular skill area, for example, brickwork, this is also possible and funded using component funding.

Our dedicated team will provide you with personalised support and can work with you to build your qualifications package.

Visit our Unit Bank for more information or contact us at enquiries@ocnlondon.org.uk to discuss.
