New Year, New Starts. Plan Now For Courses In 2018

If you are making plans for courses to offer in 2018 – whether starting in January and February, or spring and summer – check out our range of qualifications. Many of them have been developed very recently to reflect changing needs in the economy and employment market.

Preparation for Further Study Awards and Certificates.

These are multi-pathway flexible qualifications designed to prepare learners for Level 3 qualifications including Access to HE Diploma courses due to start in September 2018.  The Level 2 Certificate in Further Study in Health and Human Sciences  is a NEW qualification that covers the knowledge and academic skills needed to progress to higher level study  in these subjects. Suitable for January starts. To see the full range of qualifications suitable for pre-Access download our leaflet.

New Level 1 Awards in Skills for Professions (9 credits)

We have developed a suite of bite-sized qualifications across ten subject areas –NEW this autumn. These are ideal as vocational tasters or skills-booster courses for learners who may not be ready to commit to a larger qualification.  Free learning resources available.  Funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). Take a look at all the subjects we offer.

British Values and Citizenship, Safeguarding and Prevent

There is a big push from government to ensure that people – in schools, colleges and across the public sector – have a good understanding of British values and citizenship, the Prevent Duty and their responsibilities to safeguard learners. We have developed awards specifically designed to address these issues.

Level 1 Award in Prevent Duty Awareness
Level 1 Award in Awareness of British Values and Citizenship
Level 1 Award in Understanding Safeguarding in a Learning Environment

Short courses

We know that time is precious, so we have created a package of courses using our national qualifications that can be delivered in a variety of learning situations, including short courses. They are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
